Tamar Valley Male Voice Choir is seeking a well-qualified, experienced Director of Music from 1st January 2025.    The Choir, which enjoys a very good reputation for its standard of performance and presentation of both traditional and modern music, is based in Callington, Cornwall, where it practises on Tuesday evenings throughout the year.    In the main, concerts are given in support of local and national charities.   The successful candidate would be expected to take the Choir forward from its present strong position.

2024 is a special year for us – we have ‘Come of Age’!

We are 18 years old and the joy we have experienced over the years, entertaining audiences and raising many thousands of pounds for charity, has in no way diminished. We have gained new members and would welcome many more.

Two choirs for the price of one

Tamar Valley Male Voice Choir welcomes new members

We are delighted to welcome three new voices to our choir.
Ian, Angus and John will give even greater depth to our bass section.

Pies, peas and party pieces

Each year we put on a ‘Pies Peas and Party Pieces’ evening for members and our ladies support group. Choir members display their talents with a variety of party pieces, some clever, some silly and some quite ridiculous! Our ladies always put on a fine performance (see photo)

A large number of pasties are consumed! Looks like fun? It is! This is an evening when members ‘let their hair down’ so it is definitely not open to the public. This is just one of the informal events (including Chairman’s barbeque) we organise outside of our normal choir activities.
